Health, Safety and Environment is of prime importance at DBG. Management is vitally interested in the personal well-being of each Associate and the impact on the environment.
The Company endorses the fundamental belief that all accidents are preventable, and that it is both a moral obligation and sound business practice to prevent accidents. To achieve this, we shall maintain a Health, Safety and Environmental Program, which will be in conformance with the best practices of DBG and in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Environmental governing agencies.
It is the policy of DBG to maintain safe working conditions at all our locations, comply with the Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and other requirements, commit to continuous Health & Safety and Environmental performance improvement, maintain our equipment and premises in safe condition, ensure that all of our Associates comply with safety procedures and understand and adhere to their legislated requirements to work safely and report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions.
Continually improving our performance by setting objectives and target as part of our overall business strategy for Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.

DBG shall:

- Ensure that all Associates, agency staff, contractor, customer, and members of the public are aware of the environmental impacts of our business and understanding how we can work together.
- Meet the needs of our business in continual improvement. Take all possible steps to prevent personal injury and to provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. To achieve this, Health and Safety is integrated into all our organizational activities and through annual Loss Control objectives at each DBG facility.
- Take all possible steps to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario and its regulations and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
- Take all possible steps to ensure contractors/sub-contractors and their workers meet or exceed DBG Health and Safety Program requirements.
- Establish the responsibilities of all levels of management and Associates for implementing the policy and holding them accountable. Supervisors will be held accountable for the Health and Safety of Associates under their supervision, and Health and Safety will be an important part of the Supervisors’ and Managers’ performance appraisals. Disciplinary action, up to and including discharge, will be taken against those persons not adhering to the Policy and Safety procedures in the workplace. Take all possible steps to obtain the cooperation of Associates in carrying out this Policy. Senior Management to be committed to the achievement of these objectives. We have created procedures to set general and specific responsibilities for Health and Safety, established a Joint Health and Safety Committee, and have established procedures for monitoring the Health and Safety program to determine its effectiveness.
The company stresses that all Associates in the workplace, at all levels and functions accept the responsibilities in achieving the objectives of this health, safety, and environmental policy. Health and Safety attitude and performance will be important in evaluating job performance for all of us in the future.
